Seattle Children’s Hospital specializes in meeting the unique physical, emotional and developmental needs of children from infancy through young adulthood. For more than 100 years, Children's Hospital has been dedicated to providing top-quality care to every child in our region, regardless of the family’s ability to pay.
Children's Hospital is the Northwest's only regional pediatric medical center serving the states of Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho. Through the collaboration of physicians in nearly 60 pediatric subspecialties, Children's provides inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, surgical, rehabilitative, behavioral, emergency and outreach services.
For the 25th consecutive year, U.S. News & World Report designated Seattle Children’s one of the nation’s top children’s hospitals. Seattle Children’s ranks #1 on the West Coast and #5 in the country, according to the 2017 U.S. News & World Report rankings of 200 children’s hospitals.
Seattle Children's Hospital is also the primary teaching, clinical and research site for the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine, which is ranked one of the top 10 pediatrics programs in the country by U.S. News & World Report.
In 2021, Seattle Children's Hospital provided an unprecedented $246 million in uncompensated care.
